EVANGELISM
THEN
CHARLES FOSTER
All it took was 500 folders placed in restaurants, buses and schools around Quebec City for the three dedicated
phone lines to start buzzing. It was
1965. The tiny folder had a question,
a gospel bite, and a phone number
to a prerecorded 30-second message
presenting the gospel message.
Within days Bell Canada had to
add seven more phones. Within a
few weeks the phone circuits serving Quebec City crashed. Bell added
several servicemen working overtime day and night to handle it.
The experiences
of Charles Foster
and Marc Pilon
highlight the
unique challenges
of evangelizing in
Canada’s belle
province
