Wearing revealing things is a problem when
it becomes a serious distraction to everyone
around you and even yourself. No matter how
we want to spin it, it draws attention that one
may not be looking for. Now I get it, if trendy
clothes are revealing you don’t want to be out
of style, but I really think there can be a happy
medium. For example crop tops, I wear them but
one won’t notice unless I lift my arms. I wear a
high-waisted skirt, pants or a jacket just to keep
it appropriate. I personally don’t like being exposed because it draws the attention I’m not
looking for. If I’m wearing a fitted dress, the length needs to be longer and my chest fully
covered. That’s one example. If you have to question if something is wrong, chances are it is,
so why not get creative and come up with something better?
Appropriate summer dressing to me is when you’re able to go out confidently without
having to repeatedly adjust your chosen outfit. I believe your comfort should not be com-
promised when putting together something to wear. Especially in the summer season with
the heat and humidity. As a Christian female I understand the struggle when it comes to
finding appropriate and less revealing
outfits, but it’s not impossible!
You can wear almost anything, but
how you wear it is what makes the
difference. You can wear a dress but
where does it end on you? You can
wear leggings but maybe a shirt that
covers your bum.
It also depends on where you’re
going. For example, what may be
appropriate to wear to hang out with
your friends may not be for work. It’s
not like your Christianity depends
on the length of your skirt, but you
should dress in a way that shows you
respect yourself and have respect for
whatever occasion or people you’re
We’re all made in the image of Christ, and our body is a temple of the Lord, a place where
God resides. I’m sure if you saw a broken house that looked ready to fall apart you wouldn’t
want to stay in it. It’s the same way with how we dress and look. Conduct yourself in a
manner which is pleasing and acceptable to God.
Who’s your favourite person in the Bible and why?
Moses, because he was such a quiet and timid
person but allowed God to use him. I’m such a quiet
individual, but Moses reminds me that when you allow
God to use you, you can do great things.
