HERITAGE COLLEGE &
Answering the challenge
A recent study completed by the EFC
confirmed some disturbing trends within
the Church. A significant fact that surfaced
was that only one in three Canadian
young adults who attended church weekly
as a child still continues to attend today.
A significant number of senior high school
students who leave for college and
university are walking away from their
faith. This is a serious challenge for the
Heritage is seeking to be a part of
the answer to this challenge.
This is a time when strong opposition
faces believers in every sphere of life. Our
young people are inundated with difficult
questions that can be confusing, painful
and intimidating to appropriately answer.
Heritage offers a chance for individuals
of all ages to cultivate confidence in
their faith. Students are enabled to
find answers to difficult questions that
resonate within their own lives. And
students are equipped to articulate their
faith in a way that appropriately responds
to the questions and experiences their
family, friends and neighbours present to
them as well.
At Heritage, we want to train Christians
to be rooted and grounded in God’s Word.
We seek to equip men and women to be
authentic, passionate and knowledgeable
followers of Christ who have the fortitude
to stand strong against the cultural tides
that face us today.
