Hundreds of millions of mothers
know a past choice they made means
some of their family will be missing this
Christmas and every Christmas.
And it could kill them…
About 1/3 of women in the world – with a very high proportion within the
evangelical church – have had an abortion but realized too late they took the
life of their child.
Even though in most cases they were under pressure to do so, these women
feel great pain and many ultimately end the pain through suicide.
Now with a few clicks on your keyboard and at no cost, no strings,
totally for free, you can start reaching hurting women in your church and
neighborhood with the healing, and life-changing, message of Jesus.

OVER 100 MILLION DENIED
FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS
According to the World Evangelical Alliance,
over 100 million Christians in at least 60
countries are denied fundamental human
rights solely because of their religious beliefs.
The Voice of the Martyrs Canada is holding its
annual Momentum conference to publicize the
plight of those in peril by telling their stories,
identifying and focusing on specific prayer
requests, and raising a voice for persecuted
Christians around the world.
The conference will include information on
what is commonly taken for granted as basic
rights – freedom to an education; the right to
own property; the right of dignity and respect;
the right to life, liberty and security of person;
as well as freedom of religion and the right to
change one’s religion. (To learn more check
Currently the Religious Liberty Commission
of the WEA is monitoring religious liberty
concerns in approximately a hundred nations
where there is a growing anti-Christian
sentiment. Corresponding persecution trends
indicate the apparent increase in religious
liberty violations of Christians worldwide.
It is estimated that at least three-quarters
of all worldwide religious liberty violations are
perpetrated against Christians. And when it
comes to martyrs killed for their faith, 90 per
cent of them are Christian. This makes the
persecution of Christians the largest religious
liberties violation in the world today.

HOW THOSE CLOSEST TO
JESUS’ HEART ARE UNDER
By Megan Radford, World Vision Canada
When I was a little girl, my favourite Bible story
was when Jesus told His disciples to let the
children come to Him. I had this huge teddy
bear I would sit in, and I pictured climbing into
Jesus’ lap just like that.
Children are precious to God’s heart. Right
now, the childhood of 250 million children
in conflict zones around the world is at risk.
Children in dangerous places have been
forced from their homes into uncertain futures.
At World Vision we believe these situations
break God’s heart. That’s why, in areas too
unstable for child sponsorship, we’ve created
an initiative called Raw Hope.
Raw Hope provides life-saving essentials
like clean water, food, shelter and healthcare.
Most importantly, we create safe spaces for
children to play, process the horrors they’ve
experienced, and just be kids.
At one of those child-friendly spaces in
Lebanon, a Syrian girl named Jouri came to
us one day, after her family fled the war. The
World Vision staff said she was quiet, fragile,
and often close to tears from all she had been
through. But after discovering Jouri loved to tell
stories, they encouraged her to share her gift.
Eventually, she became the class storyteller.
Now Jouri is an active participant in playtime
and learning. She also goes to school and was
recently named the top student in her class.
“Now I’m not so shy,” she says.
Stories like Jouri’s make us smile, but there
are still so many children like her we want to
reach. You can help by becoming a Raw Hope
to learn more.
