What is the heart of Ministères
danAsheba Ministries’ mission?
To revitalize the prayer life of God’s
people. This powerful weapon
which the Lord gives us is unrecognized and used less and less in local
churches and in the lives of believers. As Christians, we know a rich
and diversified prayer life makes a
difference in our own life, in our
church life as well as in the world
around us. For this reason we strive
to give prayer back its rightful place.
How do you view danAsheba’s role
within the Canadian Church?
The role is to support churches,
ministries and church movements.
First of all, we offer specific train-
ing through our program called
Build Your Prayer House. We an-
swer certain questions such as Why
should we pray? For whom should
we pray? And why is it necessary to
add fasting to prayers?
Secondly, intercessors meet
every day to pray in complete confidentiality for the needs of our
partners, but also for the needs of
people who send us prayer requests
from around the world.
Third, we help local churches to
reinvigorate their prayer life in small
groups. We offer a unique prayer
program which spans seven weeks.
Believers support their pastors and
churches in prayer and pray for the
salvation of the lost, thus developing
the gift of evangelization.
Finally, danAsheba Ministries
supports churches and Christian
organizations through prayer for
events such as conferences, con-
certs, outreaches or missionary
work. These four pillars represent
the heart and passion of our ministry.
What do you wish the rest of Canada
understood about the churches of Quebec?
The churches in Canada need to
realize battles are won on bended
knees through prayer. Every church,
no matter its geographic location,
language or culture, has its own
challenges to face. Therefore we
must set our focus on the core issues.
We have to recover lost territories in
the spiritual realm. Churches will
become stronger, bigger and more
beautiful because the Lord will pour
out His power once we are in an
even closer communion with Him.
How do you care for yourself as a
Ever since I became a Christian and
since Bible college, I strive to have a
regular and balanced prayer life. I
always study the Word of God – the
true source of encouragement for
my life. It inspires me constantly
and enables me to equip God’s
people with the right tools during
my training sessions, conferences
and sermons. I really like to set time
apart to be in the presence of God in
worship. As a leader, I strive to be
surrounded by mentors whom I
asked to be transparent and honest
[in telling] me the truth [about] my
leadership. I am indebted to them.
Who are your heroes?
A number of godly men influenced
my leadership during Bible college
and throughout my pastoral experience. Also some intercessors, often
far away from the limelight, are my
heroes. My principal hero is Jesus
Christ. I love Him and I will always
serve Him with passion. /FT
